With its fleet of 26 deep-sea fishing vessels and 250 inshore boats, fishing is an important industry in the Côtes d’Armor. The diversity and quality of its produce are important elements with buyers.

The Côtes d’Armor C.C.I. provides the initial point of sale for catches landed in its ports Sales are carried out using a computerised system that is available to both local and national buyers.

A brief history
At the end of 2007 the fish halls or auctions celebrated 30 years of activity, during which the fishing industry, both in terms of men and technology has greatly evolved. The industry has known periods of difficulty during the last thirty years, which have served to strengthen the high performance it provides today.
